New Hanover County NAACP to Join Souls to the Polls Early Voting Campaign

SOULS-TO-THE-POLLSOn Sunday, March 6th, the New Hanover County NAACP joins with churches, mosques, synagogues and community organizations across the state for a Souls to the Polls early voting campaign. Hundreds of voters will go the polls on this first Sunday in March in honor of the 51st anniversary of Bloody Sunday when Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. led the march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama, for the right to vote.

For the first time in twelve years the New Hanover County Board of Elections has approved early voting on a Sunday.

The only voting site open on March 6th is the New Hanover County Government Center, 230 Government Center Drive, Suite 180. Hours are noon to 8 pm.  Call 910-264-3659 for rides.
